Black beaches fail in quieter ways than bright ones. Check these first:
- Overexposed photos. Blown highlights on the sand turn into grey mush; use a photo where the sand still shows texture.
- Sun straight into the lens. You get a silhouette and lose the skin, which is the whole point of the shot.
- Too many waves in the prompt. Ask for one surf line, not a storm, or the sea will swallow the figure.
- Dark clothes on dark sand. Pick a light swimsuit or a pale cover-up so the figure separates from the ground.
