Mistakes that make indoor pool clips look flat
Most flat indoor clips have two light sources that disagree: warm lamps on one side and cold blue water below make skin look grey. Name one dominant light, such as warm tile lamps, and let the water take its colour from it.
The second fault is motion across reflections. A fast pan turns the water into shimmer. Ask for a slow dolly or a rising crane, keep the shoulders steady, and stop at ten seconds if the scene is busy.
