Mistakes that make rock pools look fake
The usual giveaway is water that behaves like a swimming pool. Real tidal water is cloudy in spots, shifts with the current and breaks into foam along the stone. Describe the motion, such as “small waves slapping the ledge”, and the model has something real to follow.
